Washington: The American intelligence agency FBI has announced a reward of 10 thousand US dollars for the recovery of a student of Indian origin who went missing four years ago. Mayushi Bhagat went missing from Jersey City on April 29, 2019. Meanwhile, Mayushi was wearing a colorful pajama and a black T-shirt. Mayushi was last seen outside her apartment and has not been traced since. Two days after she went missing, Mayushi’s family filed a missing complaint. Now the FBI New York Field Office and the Jersey City Police Department are asking for the public’s help in solving the mystery of Mayushi’s disappearance.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to US $10,000 for information leading to the location or recovery of Indian-origin student Mayushi Bhagat. In July last year, the FBI added Mayushi Bhagat to its “missing persons” list and sought the public’s help for information about her whereabouts. Born in India in July 1994, Mayushi Bhagat was in America on a student visa and was studying at the New York Institute of Technology.
He speaks English, Hindi and Urdu, and detectives say he has friends in South Plainfield, New Jersey, according to an FBI statement. The FBI said anyone with information about Mayushi Bhagat’s whereabouts or disappearance should call the FBI in Newark or the Jersey City Police Department.
“A reward of up to US$10,000 may be offered for information leading to his location or recovery,” said a statement issued last week. As part of the identification, the FBI said Mayushi has black hair and brown eyes. While Mayushi’s height is 5 feet 10 inches. She came to the US in 2016 on an F1 student visa.
