Cabinet expansion in Madhya Pradesh: 28 ministers sworn in, 12 from OBC category

The cabinet was expanded in Madhya Pradesh.

Bhopal:

New ministers took oath in Madhya Pradesh today. Expansion of Mohan Yadav Cabinet. Several MLAs, including Kailash Vijayvargiya, took oath as ministers. Apart from Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the Cabinet has two Deputy Chief Ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Deora.

Out of the 28 Ministers sworn in, 18 are Cabinet Ministers, 4 are Ministers of State and 6 are Ministers of State with Independent Charge. Besides Kailash Vijayvargiya and Prahlad Patel, Vijay Shah, Karan Singh Verma, Rakesh Singh and Uday Pratap took oath as ministers in the Mohan Yadav-led government. Along with this, Sampathia Uike, Tulsiram Silawat, Adal Singh Kasana, Gobind Singh Rajput and Vishwas Sarang also took oath of office and secrecy as ministers in the MP government.

Apart from this, Nirmala Bhuria, Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Nagar Singh Chauhan and Pradyuman Singh Tomar also took oath as ministers.

In Madhya Pradesh the maximum number of Cabinet members including the Chief Minister can be 35.

CM Mohan Yadav said, “After the massive victory under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our twin engine government will continue under him and JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah.”

In the assembly elections held last month, BJP won 163 seats and Congress won 66 seats. Besides Yadav, Shukla and Deora took oath of office on December 13.
