The danger of Nipah virus is visible in Kerala. So far two people have died due to this dangerous virus in the state. Four suspected patients are being monitored. What is Nipah virus?
Nipah virus is spread through the saliva of bats. The infection is transmitted to humans by eating fruit eaten by bats. It is also transmitted from person to person. It spreads from an infected member to other family members. Its symptoms also start appearing in two to three days. Early symptoms include fever and headache.
