“Punjab Industry Will Beat China, Winds Are Changing”: Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann held discussions with entrepreneurs during the ‘Government-Businessmen Meet’ program in Ludhiana and Mohali. Meanwhile, Bhagwant Maan announced about 58 policies to encourage the industry. Meanwhile, Kejriwal said that this is the first time in Punjab that the government is sitting with entrepreneurs and discussing their problems. Today we have to decide whether to save the industry of Punjab or defeat the industry of China.

He said that now the direction of wind has started changing in Punjab. This is the reason why the industries which had moved out of Punjab are now coming back.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that CM Bhagwant Mane issued the numbers by placing advertisements in newspapers and sought suggestions from industrialists and entrepreneurs of Punjab. About 1500 suggestions have come. He said that CM Bhagwant Man himself read all the 1500 suggestions and then took a decision. After this 58 policies have been announced today. He said that earlier the entrepreneurs were called only to take funds, otherwise they were not called.

Kejriwal said that earlier there was an atmosphere of extortion within Punjab. After a year and a half, a big incident has happened in Punjab that the wind direction has started changing in Punjab. Industries that had gone are starting to come back. He said that around 450 industries have moved to Punjab from surrounding states. He said that according to the central government data, Punjab has registered the highest number of 2.79 lakh MSMEs in the last one year. 3420 new projects have been launched in Punjab. About 50 thousand crore rupees investment has come from outside, it will provide employment to 2.86 lakh youth.

He also said that when our government was formed, the law and order situation in Punjab was very bad. Today there is a lot of improvement in law and order in Punjab.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that all 20 thousand government schools in Punjab will be improved in the next few years. He said that so far more than 650 Aam Aadmi clinics have been set up in every village of Punjab. It will take up to 3 thousand.
