The prime minister’s attack on the Congress came two days after the main opposition party claimed it was being ‘kept in the dark’ over the selection of new Chief Information Commissioner Hiralal Samaria. He is the first Dalit to be appointed to this post.

Modi alleged, “For the first time we have made a Dalit from Rajasthan as CIC. Was supposed to attend the Congress meeting (where the name of the CIC was to be finalised), but she did not turn up. She was informed (about the meeting) in advance, spoke (to him) on the phone. But knowing that a Dalit was being made the head of it (the Information Commission), he boycotted the meeting.
The Prime Minister said that Congress has nothing but hatred towards Dalits and tribals.
Modi lashed out at the Congress, saying, “They hate Dalits.” When we made a tribal the President of the country, they opposed his candidature. He also protested when a Dalit was appointed CIC. After this, lies were spread to garner sympathy.
Congress Lok Sabha MP and member of the selection committee for the appointment of Chief Information Commissioner Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has claimed in a letter to President Murmu that he was kept in the dark about the selection of Samaria as the new CIC.
Former IAS officer Samaria was sworn in as CIC by President Murmu on Monday.
The CIC and the Information Commissioners are appointed by the President on the recommendation of a committee headed by the Prime Minister. The committee also consists of the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha (in this case the leader of the largest opposition party – i.e. Congress) and a Union Minister nominated by the Prime Minister.
Modi said, ‘Congress failed to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the country’s first Dalit CIC despite being invited in advance. This shows their anti-Dalit mentality.
The Prime Minister said that after the BJP came to power at the Center in 2014, his government had stopped all scams and the money that was saved was being used to provide free ration to over 80 crore poor and run welfare schemes for them. is done for.

The Prime Minister also said that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana, Rs 2.07 lakh crore was deposited in farmers’ bank accounts without any ‘leakage’ and this was possible because corruption was stopped.
Voting for the election to the new 230-member assembly in Madhya Pradesh will be held in a single phase and counting will take place on December 3.
