Shahrukh Khan is the producer’s first choice for Munna in Munnabhai MBBS.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ looks absolutely perfect to watch. It cannot be believed that anyone can look better than Sanjay Dutt in the role of Munnabhai and Arshad Warsi in the role of Circuit. But did you know that this perfect casting was not the makers’ first choice. The makers wanted to cast someone else in place of these stars. Film producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra revealed this during the promotion of the film 12 Pass a few days ago.

The makers wanted to cast Shah Rukh Khan as the lead actor for the film. That is, Shahrukh Khan was offered the role of Munnabhai for which Shahrukh Khan also approved. But during this time he had to go to London for treatment due to which he could not do the role, after which the role was offered to Sanjay Dutt. He was asked if he would do Munnabhai. Then Sanjay Dutt replied that I am doing. Actually, before that Sanjay Dutt was given the role of Zaheer. When Sanjay Dutt got the chance to play Munnabhai, the role of Zaheer was offered to Jimmy Shergill.
Circuit name scratch
In this film, Arshad Warsi made the character of Circuit funny and also memorable. But first this character was named something else. Vidhu Vinod Chopra said that first the name of the circuit was decided. It was later changed to a circuit. And, this recognition became a big hit.
