The last IPL season was a blast for 23-year-old Shubman Gill. He scored a total of 890 runs in 17 matches of IPL 2023, including three centuries. He was the highest run-scorer in the last IPL season. He was awarded the Orange Cap. He was the third batsman to score 800 or more runs in an edition of IPL. He became the second highest run-scorer in a single version after Virat Kohli. Kohli scored the highest 973 runs in 2016 IPL.
