The Free Grain Scheme was launched to provide free ration to around 80 crore people during the Covid pandemic. Since then the scheme has been ongoing. Government sources said on Monday that there will be no major financial impact due to the extension of the free grain scheme during the financial years 2023-24 and 2024-25.
