At the same time, this year this number is only 22. Similarly, 1128 students got jobs in the first phase last year which has reduced to 913 this year.
The first phase of the placement drive in IIT Kanpur has ended on 15th December. The organization released its report on Friday after receiving the final report of the drive, which began on December 1. According to this, a total of 989 job offers have been received in the first phase of the season 2023-24, out of which 913 offers have been accepted by the students. This has a total of 22 international offers. This year, the institute’s graduating students received an average package of Rs 26.27 lakh. Institute Director Prof. S Ganesh congratulated the selected students. Placement Incharge Prof. Raju Kumar Gupta said that the second phase will start in the second week of January 2024.

Microsoft, Fujitsu, Samsung, Reliance, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Texas Instruments, Doutsche Bank, Tata Projects, Navi, Uniorbit, ICICI Bank, EXL, NPCI, Intel, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel etc.

Fewer jobs were found abroad
According to IIT records, the number of international offers is less compared to previous years. Last year, the number of students who got the package of more than 1 crore was 33, while this year the institute has not disclosed the figure. This year, instead of announcing the international and domestic maximum package, the organization has given information about the average package. This year only 22 students got jobs abroad. 74 students in 2022 and 47 in 2021 got jobs abroad.
Job offer to 1050 students of IIT Delhi
In the first phase of campus placement, 1050 students of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi were offered jobs by companies in India and abroad. This also includes Pre-Placement Offers (PPO). The core-technical sector accounted for the highest number of jobs at 42 percent. In the first phase, 1050 students got offers from 20 international companies. These companies are located in Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States.
