IIT Patna: 32 offers worth over 30 lakhs, placement of more than 75 students in B.Tech, Computer Science, CSE disciplines

First phase of placement for 2024 batch in IIT Patna has started. Of these, 147 students have received full-time offers, including pre-placement offers (PPO).

IIT Patna has offered an average package of Rs 22.23 lakh in the first semester of the current placement season 2023-24. Out of them 32 offers Rs. More than 30 lakhs belongs to CTC. More than 75 students have been placed in B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch, with an average CTC of Rs. 27.60 lakhs.

More than 65 companies actively participated in the first round of placements going on at IIT Patna. Students are offered jobs like Software Engineer, Digital Consultant, Business Consultant, IT Security Engineer, Product Engineer, Research Engineer, Electronics Engineer and Analyst. Major companies that have offered jobs include multinationals like Atlassian, Google, Media.net and Sprinkler. ZS Associates (13 offers), Tiger Analytics (12 offers), and Brain Enterprises (10 offers) are the top employers in terms of number of offers. Besides, the placement drive also saw the active participation of four reputed international companies – Accenture Japan, Suntory Holdings, Nitera and Money Forward. In this placement session, two reputed PSUs, CDOT (03 offers) and BPCL (09 offers), also provided opportunities to students by participating in the placement process.

Director of IIT Patna Prof. TN Singh said that our students have performed well in various fields. On the other hand, placement officer Kripa Shankar Singh said that students from various streams like B.Tech, M.Tech, MSc are participating in the placement season. Strong participation of corporates from various sectors including IT and software has been seen. In the first phase, 10 companies have participated in the recruitment process for the first time.
