Veteran Graeme Swann is teaching spin bowling tricks to England’s young spinners, who are traveling to India next month for England’s five-Test series in January for the ‘Shadow Tour’ (A Team Tour). Off-spinner Swann was instrumental in the 2012–13 tour of India, taking 20 wickets in a 2–1 victory. Before this, England won the Test series in India only in 1984-85.
Off-spinner Graeme Swann is currently the spin bowling consultant for the England Lions in the UAE. This team will play India A team on the tour of India. “Everyone is worried about what to do in Test cricket,” Swann told ESPN Cricinfo. Is there a magic ball or something has to be done differently. There is no such thing to do. Test cricket puts pressure on both bowlers and batsmen.
“You have to show your natural game and show it consistently,” he said. He said, “It’s a different experience to contribute to England cricket. Instead of walking the dog in the park in the morning, I get straight out of bed and go to exercise. That’s how I was in those days. I thought whenever you bowled in Test cricket you had to Should be better than before. You really don’t.”
