Indian student shot dead in America, investigation started

The police are investigating the matter

On Nov. 9, Cincinnati Police Lt. Jonathan Cunningham said officers found a man inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. A police official said that firing detection service ShotSpotter reported the firing in the area around 6.20 am.

Cunningham said passing drivers called 911 to report a vehicle riddled with bullet holes and a person inside who had been shot. Aditya Adlakhan was taken to UC Medical Center in critical condition and two were pronounced dead a day later.

The accused has not been arrested

Local media reports said no arrests have been made since the shooting was reported. A 26-year-old Indian doctoral student died after being shot inside a car, in an incident his medical university described as “sudden, tragic and “senseless”.

Aditya Adlakha came to Cincinnati from northern India to continue his education in the medical field. He received his bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Ramjas College, Delhi University, New Delhi in 2018. He received his Master’s degree in Physiology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in 2020.
