Joe Biden entrusted a major responsibility to Indian-origin Shakuntala L Bhaya

The President of America entrusted Shakuntala L Bhaya with a big responsibility

New Delhi:

President of America Joe Biden Shakuntala L Bhaya of Indian American origin has been entrusted with important responsibility. A statement issued by the White House said Bhaya has been appointed as a member of the Council of Administrative Conferences of the United States. Let us tell you that this is one of the new appointments made by the Biden administration on Wednesday.

Bhaya is co-owner of the statewide Delaware law firm, Law Offices of Doroshaw, Pasquale, Kravitz & Bhaya. The White House said his practice focuses on representing individuals who have been significantly harmed as a result of unsafe decisions by businesses and people.

For the past seven years, Bhaya has been a member of Governor Carney’s Judicial Nominating Commission. In addition to practicing law, Bhaya is also interested in Delaware politics. He is currently a member of the State Executive Committee of the Delaware Democratic Party. Bhaya, former president of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, is engaged in defending consumers’ 7th Amendment right to jury trials and access to court.

Let us tell you that Bhaya is also a member of the American Association for Justice and the American Civil Liberties Union and has been actively involved in helping elect pro-choice democratic women to office.

She was actively involved in fighting for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community and allowing its members to adopt children, seek legal redress when facing workplace discrimination, and allow people to marry. Bhaya is the first South Asian Indian to be admitted to the Delaware Bar Association. Bhaya continues to work towards diversity, equality and inclusion in the legal profession and politics. Bhaya is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law.
