Kamal Haasan glimpses superstar Krishna, who has acted in 350 films, as his idol.

Actor Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for his upcoming film Indian 2 and recently its new poster was revealed. Haasan is currently in Vijayawada, where the shooting of his most awaited film is going on.
Meanwhile, the actor unveiled a statue of former Telugu superstar Krishna, a glimpse of which has surfaced. A video of Kamal Haasan is currently going viral on social media and the actor can be seen unveiling the statue of late Telugu actor Krishna in Vijayawada.

Who was Sri Krishna?
Let us tell you that the late actor was a part of more than 350 films in a career spanning over 5 decades. Ghattamaneni Shiva Ram Krishna Murthy is his full name but he is known as Krishna. He was an Indian actor, director and producer known primarily for his work in Telugu cinema. He is called a superstar in Telugu media. In 2009, the Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan for his contribution to Indian cinema. He was elected Member of Parliament from the Congress Party in 1989. In 1997, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award-South and in 2008 he received an honorary doctorate from Andhra University. He died of cardiac arrest on 15 November 2022. Now a statue of him has been made which has been unveiled by Kamal present in Vijayawada.

If we talk about Kamal’s work front, on the professional front he was last seen in the Tamil film ‘Vikram’ which was a blockbuster film. Currently, he is looking forward to the long-pending film ‘Indian 2’, which is slated to release in April 2024. Directed by Shankar, the film stars Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Guru Somasundaram. The music of the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Let us tell you that after ‘Indian 2’ Kamal Haasan’s film with director H Vinoth is ‘KH 233’. The film is currently in the pre-production stage. The film will be a rural social drama and will feature Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role. Along with Mani Ratnam, Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life also stars Jayam Ravi, Dulquer Salmaan and Trisha Krishnan and has music composed by AR Rahman. He also has ‘Kalki AD 2898’ in the pipeline starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani in a film directed by Villan Nag Ashwin.
