Following the decision to ban Naveen for 20 months, the ILT20 CEO said, ‘We are not proud to make this announcement, but all parties are expected to abide by their contractual commitments. It is recognized that non-compliance may cause harm to the other party.

He further said, ‘Unfortunately, Naveen-ul-Haq failed to fulfill his contractual obligations with Sharjah Warriors and hence the league had no option but to ban him for 20 months. Disciplinary proceedings against Naveen were conducted in a transparent manner. Both parties involved were given an opportunity to prepare and present their submissions.
