Mars mission: now finding life on mars is easy, nasa has prepared a scary device, done wonders on earth too

NASA’s Mars Helicopter: NASA has tested the design of the next-generation Mars helicopter on both Earth and Mars. On Earth, the US space agency tested a new rotor that could be used with a future Mars helicopter at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, rotating at nearly supersonic speeds (Mach 0.95).

On the other hand, the Ingenuity Mars helicopter achieved new altitude and airspeed records on the red planet in the name of experimental flight test. “Testing our next-generation Mars helicopter has literally been the best of both worlds,” Teddy Zanetos, Ingenuity project manager and manager of the Mars sample recovery helicopter, said in a statement.

“Here on Earth, you have all the tools and practical urgency you could hope for when testing new aircraft components,” Zenatos said. On Mars, you have real off-world conditions that you could never really recreate on Earth.’ Its atmosphere is extremely thin and has much less gravity than Earth. For three weeks in September, a team monitored sensors, meters and cameras. During this time the blade continued to move at higher speeds and higher pitch angles.

On April 19, 2021, NASA’s Ingenuity Mars copter flew for the first time in the skies above the Red Planet. It has since completed 66 flights to Mars, five more than its originally planned technology demonstration.

Some highlights of Ingenuity’s historic and successful activities on Mars include:

  • The first aircraft to achieve controlled flight, an achievement known as the “Wright Brothers moment”.
A distance of 9.3 miles (14.9 km) was covered in the 118.8 minute flight.
  • Flying to Mars, reaching an altitude of 78.7 feet (24.0 m).
  • Successful flight into the extremely thin atmosphere of Mars
  • NASA’s Perseverance rover will observe several regions of Mars for important discoveries
  • Paving the way for future aerial exploration of Mars
