The objective of the scheme is to provide loan facility without any guarantee to the street vendors who have been badly affected by the Kovid-19 pandemic to restart their businesses. A loan of up to 50 thousand rupees will be available: Loans up to Rs 10,000 are available for a period of one year without any guarantee. On timely repayment of this loan, second installment of Rs 20,000 loan and third installment of Rs 50,000 loan will be facilitated. Along with this, interest subsidy will be provided at the rate of 7 percent per annum. This amount will be up to 400 rupees. At the same time, the customer will get a cashback of up to Rs 1200 per year. Let us tell you that on every digital transaction, the cashback ranges from Rs 1 to Rs 100 per month. Responsibility of States: The State/ULB is responsible for identifying suitable street vendors and collecting new applications under the scheme. However, to increase the number of beneficiaries, the Ministry is taking several initiatives which include holding regular review meetings with States/UTs/ULBs/lending institutions, radio jingles, television advertisements and newspapers, among others.
