Nursery admissions 2024-25: Private schools will start accepting applications for admission to general seats from nursery to first class for the new academic session 2024-25 from Thursday. This year most of the schools have given maximum marks to the gap in the criteria set for admission. That is, the shorter the distance from home to school, the higher the marks. In this regard, a total of 366 schools out of 1731 schools had uploaded the admission criteria on the website of the Director of Education till 6.30 pm on Monday.
Many other criteria are included including Schools Neighborhood, Siblings, Alumni, First Child Boy/Girl, Twin Girls, Single Parent, Staff Ward, Child with Special Needs, Children of Naval Service Personnel. In this, schools are giving maximum points to the neighborhood. Distance to house will be determined from google map. Apart from this, the highest marks are being given to the minority class in the minority schools.
85 points will be given if it is close to the school
Jyoti Arora, principal of Mount Abu Public School, Rohini, said that 85 marks have been fixed for 0-8 km distance from the school and 15 marks for staff/siblings/alumni. Admission criteria has been uploaded on the school website. Pallavi Sharma, principal of Mamta Modern Senior Secondary School, Vikaspuri, said the criteria for admission included neighbour, sibling, first child and former students.
Alumni’s child will get 10 points
Ten points will be awarded if the first child is a boy or a girl. Priyanka Gulati, principal of Evergreen Public School, Vasundhara Enclave, said 30 points will be given to siblings, 10 points if the child is an ex-student and 60 points if the school is near home, between 0-6 km and more. That is, up to eight kilometers. will get 40 marks.
20 points benefit to actual brothers and sisters
Rohit Dua, managing director of Little Flowers Public School, Shivaji Park, said if the school is between 0-2 kilometers from home, 40 points, 20 points for true brother/sister, 10 points for first child/daughter and if the child is an ex-student. 15 marks and 15 marks will be awarded if the teacher is a ward child. Principal of Vidya Bal Bhawan Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar Phase-III Dr. Satveer Sharma said that the school has fixed 70 marks for the distance of 0-1 km. Apart from this, a criterion of 10 marks each for first girl and sister and 10 marks for ex-students has been fixed.

The schools had to upload the admission criteria and marks by November 20. But, till the time of writing, more than 1300 schools had not uploaded the admission criteria. Most of the schools in West B district were included in this.
Admission Schedule:
– Admission application forms will be available in schools from 23rd November.
– Application form can be submitted in the school till 15th December
– The list of children applying for admission must be declared by December 29.
– Number of children applying for admission till January 5
will be uploaded
– The first list of selected children will be released on January 12 (along with the waiting list).
– List issue will be resolved by January 13-22
– The second list of selected students will be declared on 29 January.

– Fixed issue related to second list of parents from 31st January to 6th February.
If required, another list may be released on February 21.
– Admission process will be completed from 8th March.
