None of that happened as Pakistan wanted and the Kiwi team ended the match chasing the target of 172 runs set by Sri Lanka in just 23.2 overs. Now Pakistan have to make the impossible possible if they want to reach the semi-finals.

New Zealand’s win against Sri Lanka almost ended Pakistan’s hopes of reaching the semi-finals. Now the task before him will be to make the impossible possible. If the Pakistan team wants to reach the semi-finals, they will first have to do something against England which this team has not done so far in ODIs.
Batting first in the match against England, Pakistan will have to score 400 runs. After this, their bowlers have to restrict the English team’s batting order to a score of 112 runs or less. This means that Pakistan’s margin of victory should be 288 runs or more. At the same time, if the Pakistan team loses the toss and England decides to bat first, Babar Azam’s team will be out of the World Cup at the same time.
