India won the Asia Cup 2023 title on Sunday. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the final. India bowled out Sri Lanka for just 50 runs in the title match and then cruised to an easy win in 6.1 overs. India has won the tournament trophy for the eighth time. India is the most successful team in the Asia Cup. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Team India for becoming champions. PM Modi said that Indian players showed tremendous skill in the tournament.

Let us tell you that fast bowler Mohammad Siraj bowled brilliantly in the final. Siraj took 6 wickets for 21 runs in 7 overs. He broke Sri Lanka’s back in the fourth over. Siraj took four wickets in this over. Sri Lanka lost 6 wickets for 12 runs, after which the team could not come back. Siraj is the first Indian bowler to take four wickets in an over in ODI cricket. He was adjudged player of the match.
“It was a brilliant performance,” said captain Rohit after winning the final. It was great to play like that in the final. This shows the team mentality. This kind of performance will be remembered for a long time.” He said, “Our fast bowlers have been working hard for a long time. Nice to see him perform like this. I never thought the ball would move this much.” He said, “Apart from the conditions, it’s also about the skill of the players. This is quite rare. A performance like Siraj’s is not seen often. All the players did their job very well.
