At that time ‘Aradhana’ became a film that ran for three years in theaters in South India.

Kaka was not the first choice of producers
The film ‘Aradhana’ directed by Shakti Samant had earlier given up the desire to make this film. But later he made this film and it turned out to be a blockbuster. Rajesh Khanna’s close friend Bhupesh Rasin said in an interview to ETimes that Rajesh Khanna’s film Aaradhana was not his first choice, but the director’s first choice was Shammi Kapoor. Because the pair of Shammi and Sharmila Tagore was considered a very hit pair at that time. However, when Shammi turned down the film, the film landed in Rajesh Khanna’s lap.

Earned 17.85 crores 55 years ago
‘Aaradhana’ earned Rs 17.85 crore at the box office when it was released in 1969, if we look at it today, the film earned more than Rs 900 crore. The film also competes with RRR in this regard.
