New Delhi. Famous Bollywood writer Salim Khan, whose family is discussed in the corridors of Bollywood. However, the love story of Salim Khan and his children is not hidden from anyone. Salman Khan has two more brothers, Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan. Salman Khan did not marry, but both his brothers did. All the relations were going well, the families of both the brothers also grew, but then one after another the relationship of both the brothers got cracked and the matter reached to divorce.
Both of Salman Khan’s daughters-in-law i.e. Arbaaz Khan’s wife Malaika Arora got divorced first and then few years later Sohail Khan’s wife also got divorced ending the relationship. After this divorce, Salim Khan’s family again came into the limelight, but both the daughters-in-law maintained silence on the matter. Now for the first time, Salman Khan’s daughter-in-law reflects on her grief over the divorce and talks about their ended relationship.
When this divorce caused an uproar
After Malaika and Arbaaz, when the news of separation of Bollywood actor Sohail Khan and his wife Seema Sajdeh broke, the Bollywood circles were in a frenzy. The question in everyone’s mind was that what happened between the two after 24 years of marriage that the matter reached the point of divorce. Seema, who married Sohail in 1998, recently opened up about her relationship.
Divorce always carries a stigma
Both got divorced and separated in the year 2022. In a recent podcast with Shivani Pai, Seema Sajdeh was asked if there is still a stigma attached to divorce. So he answered this. Seema said, of course it is. Especially in our Indian culture. There is always a stigma attached to divorce.
People made many negative comments
Recalling the negative comments she received after her divorce, she said that people said about her that she used Sohail Khan and his family. As long as they were needed. Now she has reached where she wanted to reach. So now he wants to be free. Seema said that after reading all this, my reaction was ‘what happened here?’ But there were also people who were really good to me. So I focused on the good things.
‘Right decision required’
He further said that he chose an option. When two people are in a situation where both of you are not happy and are constantly fighting, it always has a bad effect on the children. So a proper decision is necessary. Salman’s daughter-in-law further said that Nirvana was at an age when he didn’t want it and there came a time when I had to make a decision, because I had to choose between my marriage and my son, because my son would be gone. But I was going, which scared me a lot. So, one fine morning, I woke up and realized that I would either put all my energy into saving this marriage or focus on my son.
When the son said – ‘Mom, you can go ahead’
Seema said her son Nirwan Khan talked to her a lot. She said that when he went to university he told me, ‘Mum I’m fine now, you can go ahead’ and that’s when I decided it was time for me to get a divorce. Honestly, it’s just paper.
The former couple has two sons
Let us tell you that Seema and Sohail have been living separately for a long time and they officially got divorced in December 2022. They have two sons Nirvana and Yohan.
