India’s Richest Woman: India’s richest woman Savitri Jindal has overtaken Wipro’s Azim Premji to become the fifth richest person in the country in terms of net worth. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Jindal’s current net worth is around $25 billion. At the same time, Premji’s total wealth is 24 billion dollars. Jindal is at the 61st position among the billionaires in the world ranking while Premji is at the 66th position.
Wipro shares tumbled 42%
Just two years ago, Premji was the third richest person in the country after Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. But his wealth has declined as Wipro shares have fallen 42% in the past two years. On the other hand, JSW Steel chairman emeritus Jindal’s net worth has grown by 87% in the last two years. He has invested in various sectors including power, cement and infrastructure. JSW Steel contributes about 30% of their assets. Other major additions to his net worth have come from JSW Infrastructure, Jindal Steel & Power and JSW Energy.

Ambani is at 13th position
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Mukesh Ambani is the richest person in India, with a net worth of $92.3 billion. Ambani is ranked 13th in the world ranking. Gautam Adani is the second richest person in India in the list of billionaires, with a net worth of $85.3 billion. It may be noted that Adani is at 14th place in the world ranking.

Elon Musk is the richest person in the world
Tata Group’s Shapoor Mistry is the third richest Indian with a net worth of $33.8 billion. Mistry is followed by HCL Technologies founder Shiv Nadar, who ranks fourth among India’s richest people with a net worth of $31.6 billion. Mistry is ranked 40th in the world ranking while Nadar is currently ranked 45th in terms of total net worth. It may be noted that Tesla CEO Elon Musk is the richest person in the world with a net worth of $223 billion.
