School Winter Vacation 2023: Due to fresh snowfall in Himalayan regions, cold wave has started in many states of North India. Many state governments have declared winter holidays in schools in view of the bitter cold and plummeting mercury. The latest order has come from the Jharkhand government. In view of the cold wave, the Jharkhand Education Department has issued an order to close all types of schools in the state from December 26 to 31. This decision has been taken by the education department keeping in view the increasing impact of cold wave in the state. Here, keeping in view the matriculation and intermediate examinations, the respective schools will organize the class 10th and 12th as per requirement.
Winter holidays in UP from 31st December
Winter vacation will start from December 31 in all council schools of Uttar Pradesh. Council schools will have winter vacation from December 31 to January 14 next year after teaching on December 30. An order has also been issued by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council in this regard, which also states that the timing of school operation may be changed by the competent authority in view of the change in weather and extreme cold during winter. .
Delhi
Winter vacation in Delhi schools will be from 1 January 2024 to 6 January 2024. The Delhi government closed schools in November due to pollution, so this time the winter vacation period has been reduced from 15 days to 6 days.
Rajasthan
The winter vacation in Rajasthan will start from December 25. However, the details of how long the schools will remain closed are yet to be revealed.
Jammu
All government and private schools in Jammu are on winter vacation from December 11, 2023 to February 29, 2024. Holidays for students of class 9 to 12 are from 18th December to 29th February.
Bihar
Bihar education department has not announced the winter vacations yet. The state government will announce this soon amid the growing winter.
