Stock market today: Shares start flat, Sensex-Nifty continue to fluctuate

Stock Market Updates: The stock market continues to fluctuate even on the last trading day of the week.

Stock market today: Indian stock markets started trading on a flat note today. Both the benchmark indices opened in the green mark in today’s trade. On the last trading day of the week, the 30-share BSE Sensex opened up 180.55 points (0.25%) at 71,045.65. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also opened with a gain of 40.80 points (0.19%). But buyers dominated the stock market in early trading and Sensex-Nifty touched the red mark.

However, after half an hour, the stock market recovered the losses. At 9:50 am, the Sensex was trading up 178.43 points (0.25%) at 71,043.53 and the Nifty was trading up 73.70 points (0.35%) at 21,328.75.

These stocks made profits

Among the Sensex companies, shares of Tata Steel, Tata Motors, NTPC, JSW Steel, Sun Pharma and Bajaj Finance rose. While shares of Infosys, HDFC Bank, Asian Paints, Tata Consultancy Services, ICICI Bank and IndusInd Bank remained at a loss.

In other Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei and China’s Shanghai Composite were in gains while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was in losses. At the same time, American markets closed with a positive trend on Thursday.

Sensex-Nifty closed higher yesterday

Yesterday i.e. Thursday the Indian stock market regained momentum after an initial decline and the BSE Sensex jumped 359 points. Due to this, the BSE Sensex closed at 70,865.10 points with an increase of 358.79 points or 0.51 percent in extremely volatile trading. While the Nifty also closed at 21,255.05 points with an increase of 104.90 points or 0.50 percent.

According to stock market data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) on Thursday invested Rs. 1,636.19 crore worth of shares were sold.
