List of Bank Holidays December 2023: Although December is not a festive month, banks may remain closed for a total of 18 days. Apart from the gazetted holiday, weekly holiday and second and fourth Saturday holiday, there is also a nationwide six-day strike by bank employees. The strike is happening in different banks on different days.
Let us inform you that the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) has called for a 6-day nationwide strike in December, due to which different banks will be affected on different dates. For example, on December 4, 2023, employees of Punjab National Bank (PNB), Punjab and Sindh Bank, State Bank of India (SBI) will be on strike. In such a situation, the operations in the bank branches will be affected.

4 December 2023- Banks will be closed in Goa due to St. Francis Xavier Festival.
9 December 2023- Second Saturday of the month and will be a Bank Holiday
10 December 2023- Sunday
12 December 2023- There will be a bank holiday in Meghalaya due to Pa-Togan Nengminja confluence.
13 December 2023- Banks will remain closed in Sikkim due to Losung/Namsung.
14 December 2023- This day will also be a bank holiday in Sikkim due to Losung/Namsung.
17 December 2023- Sunday
18 December 2023- Bank holiday in Meghalaya due to death anniversary of U Soso Tham.
19 December 2023- Goa will have a bank holiday due to Liberation Day.
23 December 2023 – Fourth Saturday of the month.
24 December 2023- Sunday
25 December 2023- There will be a bank holiday across the country due to Christmas.
26 December 2023- Banks will remain closed in Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya due to Christmas celebrations.
27 December 2023- Bank holiday due to Christmas in Nagaland.
30 December 2023- Banks will not open in Meghalaya due to U Kiang Nangbah.
